C. Daniel Smith, DO

Dr. C. Daniel Smith earned his doctorate from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. After completing his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, he moved on to Neuchatal, Switzerland where he completed a fellowship in traumatology. Dr. Smith is board certified in both orthopedics and arthroscopy.

Dr. Smith holds memberships with the following professional associations:

American Osteopathic Association
American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics
Missouri State Medical Association
Buchanan County Medical Society
American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons

In addition to his clinical appointments, Dr. Smith is on staff at Heartland Hospital, St. Joseph, MO, where he is the chairman of the department of surgery. Dr. Smith has been with the Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center since 1986.
